Casa Mia Coliving: More Than Just a Place to Stay

At Casa Mia Coliving, we believe that home is where your people are. Moving to a new city like Singapore is exciting, but it can also be overwhelming with new surroundings, new routines, and often, no familiar faces. That’s why our community events are at the heart of the Casa Mia experience.

From First Fridays under the stars to friendly welcome drinks for new members, we create opportunities for you to connect, share experiences, and make friends from all over the world. Whether you’re an expat, a student, a digital nomad, or a young professional, you’ll find more than just a room here; you’ll find your community.

Why We Host Community Events

Our members often tell us that these events are the highlight of their time in Singapore. Why? Because they:

  • Break the ice between new and existing members
  • Create lasting friendships in a city that can feel transient
  • Celebrate diversity, with members from over 80 nationalities
  • Provide a support network that makes city life easier

Community is what transforms a shared apartment into a real home, and our events are where that magic happens.

1. First Friday Nights, Food, Fun & Views

At Casa Mia Coliving, we believe the best way to kick off a month is together. That’s why our First Friday Nights have become a community favorite. On the first Friday of every month, our members gather to unwind, share stories, and enjoy good food against some of the best views Singapore has to offer.

Picture this: a terrace, the city skyline twinkling in the background, the sound of laughter mixing with music, and a table filled with delicious bites from around the world. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure evening where new members feel instantly at home and regulars look forward to reconnecting.

We handle the setup – from snacks and drinks to a welcoming atmosphere – so you can simply show up, mingle, and soak in the vibe. Whether you come for the food, the friends, or the views (or all three!), First Friday Nights are a perfect reminder that you’re not just renting a room at Casa Mia – you’re part of a community.

Why Members Love It:

  • Casual, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for mingling
A mix of regulars and newcomers at each event
  • A taste of home for many, with food from different cultures

2. Welcome Drinks: Your First Casa Mia Hello

Every month, we host Welcome Drinks for new members. It’s our way of saying you’re one of us now. Whether you’ve moved from across the world or just across town, you’ll meet your future friends here.

Expect a cozy venue, great conversation starters, and a friendly Casa Mia team member to make introductions. By the end of the night, you’ll have a WhatsApp group full of new contacts.

3. Holiday & Cultural Celebrations

Living at Casa Mia means celebrating cultures from around the world. From Chinese New Year hawker nights to Christmas potlucks and Diwali light-ups, our events calendar reflects the diversity of our members.

These moments are about more than food and décor, they’re about sharing traditions, stories, and laughter across cultures.

4. Weekend Adventures & Pop-Up Gatherings

Not all our events are big productions, sometimes it’s the spontaneous moments that make the best memories. Weekend hikes and morning walks, coffee crawls, or trips to local hawker stalls often start as casual ideas in our community chat.

Casa Mia supports these too, sometimes with a little sponsorship for snacks, sometimes just by connecting people with similar interests.

How Casa Mia Makes It Easy to Join In

We know everyone has busy lives, so we make participating as easy as possible:

  • Events are free or low-cost for members
  • They happen in central, convenient locations
  • We share event details well in advance in our members
  • You can join as much or as little as you like, no pressure

Our community is about inclusivity. You don’t have to be the most outgoing person in the room to enjoy yourself, just show up, and we’ll take it from there.
